Not Financial Advice
Last updated: October 27, 2026.
Durendo is educational retirement planning software, not a financial adviser. It projects your finances and compares planning choices using your information, assumptions and the rules and models built into the software. Its results help you understand your plan; they are not personalized financial advice.
Results depend on your information, assumptions and the model
In plain words Durendo uses the information you enter, assumptions you set or accept, and built-in rules and models. Changing your inputs or assumptions changes the results. The results are estimates based on your information, not guarantees.
Projections and comparisons depend on your household information, assumptions you enter or accept, the tax rules and calculation models built into Durendo, and reference data used by the app. Assumptions and models simplify real-world conditions and may not capture every relevant circumstance. Durendo cannot verify that your information is complete or accurate. Actual results may differ materially from the projections.
Rules, data and markets change
In plain words Tax and benefit rules change. Durendo is updated for the rules in force on the date shown in the app, and may lag a change. The return and inflation assumptions come from published outside sources, not from Durendo, and are not forecasts. Health-insurance prices come from a U.S. government service and are estimates; the price you are offered can differ.
Durendo’s calculations use tax rules, benefit formulas, government data and capital-market assumptions as of the dates shown in the app. Laws, thresholds and published figures change, sometimes with little notice, and Durendo may not reflect a change on the day it takes effect. Returns, inflation and tax rates in a projection are assumptions. The return and inflation assumptions are taken from published third-party sources, named on the Assumptions page; they are not Durendo’s own predictions. Actual market results will differ, and past results are not a guide to future results. Health-insurance prices shown are estimates drawn from the HealthCare.gov Marketplace service when you ask for them; the premium, subsidy, benefits and availability you are actually offered can differ and are set by the insurer and the Marketplace. Check anything you rely on against the original source or a professional.
We do not recommend, manage, or advise
In plain words Durendo does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting or estate-planning advice, and it does not tell you what to do: not what to buy, sell or hold, not whether to move money or convert to a Roth account, not when to claim Social Security. It does not touch your money. It is not a registered investment adviser, a broker-dealer, or your fiduciary, and using it does not make us any of those things.
Durendo does not recommend that you buy, sell, or hold any specific investment, security, or product, or that you take any particular financial, tax or legal step, such as a Roth conversion, a Social Security claiming age, a withdrawal order or a property decision. It does not manage money, execute trades, or have discretion over any account. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or estate-planning advice.
Durendo is not a Registered Investment Adviser, a broker-dealer, or a fiduciary, and using Durendo does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and Hagegard LLC.
Model portfolios shown in Durendo are published by others and described for comparison; Durendo does not endorse them. Results from tools you run, such as an allocation tool, are what the model calculates from your inputs and the assumptions shown. You choose whether and how to use them.
Comparing scenarios is arithmetic, not a recommendation
In plain words Durendo can compare scenarios you ask it to model, for example different retirement ages, Roth conversion amounts or Social Security claiming ages, based on your inputs, your assumptions and the rules built into the software. The comparisons show modelled outcomes, not which choice you should make.
Durendo compares scenarios you ask it to model: different spending levels, retirement ages, Roth conversion amounts, withdrawal assumptions, Social Security claiming ages, and similar. Those comparisons use your inputs, assumptions and the rules and models built into Durendo. They are not recommendations about what you should do, and a scenario scoring better in the model is not a suggestion that you adopt it.
Simulation results are not a promise
In plain words The probabilities Durendo shows are the share of simulated market outcomes in which something happens. They are not a forecast of what will happen to you.
Monte Carlo analysis explores different simulated market outcomes using the plan’s inputs, assumptions and model. The results show how the plan performs within those simulations, not which outcome you will actually experience. Different assumptions or models can produce different results, and actual conditions may differ from those simulated. A favourable result does not guarantee that your plan will work, and a result showing a need for adjustment is not a prediction that it will occur.
Seeking professional advice
In plain words Durendo is educational software, not an adviser. If you feel you need advice, consider seeking it from a licensed professional.
Durendo is educational software and does not assess your personal circumstances the way an adviser would. If you feel you need advice about your finances, taxes or estate, consider seeking the advice of a licensed financial adviser, tax professional or attorney who can look at your complete situation.
